1An Act to amend 341.26 (2) (k) of the statutes;
relating to: registration of
2vehicles operated exclusively by volunteer fire departments.

Current law authorizes the owner of a qualified motor vehicle to register the
vehicle for five years for a $5 fee. Qualified vehicles are specified by statute and
include fire trucks owned and operated exclusively by incorporated volunteer fire
departments and motor vehicles owned and operated by voluntary nonprofit
organizations used exclusively for rescue work.
Under this bill, a trailer owned and operated exclusively by an incorporated
volunteer fire department is also eligible for this $5, five-year registration.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
